Up Close and PersonalA native Virginian, Athena earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Psychology from the University of Virginia where she also played rugby for the nationally ranked women’s club team. After working for two years as a litigation paralegal in a Richmond, Virginia civil defense firm, she attended the University of Richmond School of Law. During law school, Athena served as the Symposium Editor for the University of Richmond Law Review, organizing and hosting a CLE event at which legal experts presented scholarly papers that were later published in the Symposium edition of the journal. After law school, Athena worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable C.N. Jenkins, Jr. and Bradley B. Cavedo in the Circuit Court for the City of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, she gained invaluable experience and practical knowledge drafting memorandums and orders for the Court.
New to the Pittsburgh area, she loves exploring the neighborhoods to find the best local food and drink. Her favorite things to do include listening to true crime podcasts, weight lifting, watching football and hockey, and reading a good book.
